Our Recruitment Process

Now it's time to upload your CV and covering letter. Simply click/tap on the 'Apply Now' button in the job advert. After you've applied, you'll receive a confirmation email, don't forget to check your spam folder.

We'd like to get to know you a little more before we move on to the next stage. As part of your application, you'll need to complete our empathy quiz. You'll be able to attach your results to your application.

After the application deadline, We'll shortlist candidates who we'll invite for an initial video interview. If you haven't been successful at this stage, we'll be in touch via email to let you know.

If you're shortlisted for a video interview you'll receive an email from the hiring manager to arrange a time that's convenient for both of you. We use Google Meet for video interviews. You don't need to download any software to use this. Simply click/tap on the link in the interview invite email to access the interview. This initial interview gives you a chance to learn more about Zappshelter's origins, values and mission. It will give us the opportunity to get to learn more about your experience, skills and personality. If you haven't been successful at this stage, we'll let you know via email.

If you are invited for an in-person interview, congratulations! This means you are a potential match for the role. The in-person interview will take place at our HQ near Perth, Scotland, with the hiring manager. You'll also have the opportunity to meet the team and have a look around. This will follow a similar format to the video interview, but we'll delve a little deeper with our questions. You'll also have the chance to ask questions and see if Zappshelter feels like a good fit for you.

If you are offered the role, this could take place in person, or via email or phone call. After this, you'll be contacted by HR to complete initial paperwork and the hiring manager will be in touch to arrange a start date. Your new manager will create an onboarding plan to make sure everything is ready when you join. On your first day and throughout your first few weeks at Zappshelter, your manager will take you through your initial training and arrange additional training with other team members and external agencies, if necessary. You'll find everyone at Zappshelter is friendly, supportive and eager to help you get up to speed with everything you need to know.
