Saving Time and Money for Veolia

Processing millions of tonnes of commercial, hazardous and secure waste each year is no mean feat and multinational recycling giant Veolia has a responsibility, as a global leader in this field, to ensure it is done in the most sustainable and efficient way possible.

Veolia has invested in keeping recycled materials undercover in order to reduce CO2 emissions associated with the transporting and processing of waste material, lower the risk of unwanted contaminants leaching into the watercourses, and minimise the risk of airborne pollution and litter.

A great example is their Padworth Materials Recovery Facility. Veolia has invested in a Zappshelter mounted on large precast blocks to keep waste dry on a busy site. Not only does it save considerable amounts of time and money having to dry the waste before processing, but it also greatly improves the carbon footprint of such processing.

To help blend sympathetically into the surroundings, this 12m wide x 12m long Zappshelter has a custom green Taurinox membrane cover with a partial end wall to the rear. This helps prevent waste material being blown around the site and beyond.
