Katie: My First Month at Zappshelter

My name is Katie Gallacher and I’m the Integrated Marketing Lead here at Zappshelter. My role covers a broad spectrum of marketing activities, from redeveloping the website to designing marketing collateral and many things in between.

Why did you join Zappshelter and how has your first month been?

When I was looking for the next step in my career, finding a strong company culture and values that aligned with my own was a huge priority. When the opportunity at Zapp came up, it sounded like the perfect fit! My first month has absolutely flown by! It feels like I’ve been here for much longer (in the best way possible!) We have already achieved so much.

What’s stood out for you so far?

What has stood out to me most is the unique environment here. It really isn’t your average workplace! There is a brilliant balance of hard work and genuine fun – which makes every day enjoyable.

What are you excited about for your future at Zappshelter?

I’m incredibly excited to see where we can take our marketing efforts. With an extra set of hands, the possibilities for growth and creativity are endless. Additionally, I’m looking forward to diving deeper into my development and growing as a true Sheltologist®.

What’s one thing that surprised you about Zappshelter?

The thing that has surprised me the most is the variety of clients we work with, including some well-known companies. The scale of operations across the country is impressive for a small family-run business.
