Morgan Sindall Group Simplifies Tractor Maintenance with Zappshelter Workshop

The Company:

Part of Morgan Sindall Group plc, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure delivers some of the UK’s most complex and critical infrastructure across seven core sectors: energy, defence, water, nuclear, highways, rail and aviation for both public and private sector clients.

As an existing and highly valued client, they already understood the importance of keeping their operations protected and turned to Zappshelter once again for a reliable site solution.

The Challenge:

At their Kingsnorth Power Station site in Kent, the Morgan Sindall team were facing an obstacle: they lacked a weatherproof, dedicated workshop area to effectively service, repair and maintain their tractors.

Without this dedicated space, essential maintenance was difficult and constantly at the mercy of the British weather. This led to increased maintenance times and frustrating delays for the site team. They needed a robust undercover workspace to keep their mechanics and machinery protected so repairs could happen efficiently, rain or shine.

The Solution:

Because Morgan Sindall is an existing customer, we were able to quickly understand their needs and deliver a shelter tailored to their site footprint, creating the ideal workshop.

The bespoke installation included:

  • One 6m wide x 6.1m (20ft) long Zappshelter.
  • Mounted on two 20ft shipping containers, which were ply-lined and insulated to provide secure, high-quality storage space for tools and parts alongside the workshop bay.
  • A full rear end-wall for maximum shelter against driving rain and wind.
  • A fully branded cover featuring the Morgan Sindall company logo on both sides, providing maximum brand exposure and a professional site presence.

The Result:

The new setup has completely transformed their maintenance routine. With a dedicated, weatherproof workshop now in place,Morgan Sindall Group has simplified their maintenance and repair process.

Having a reliable undercover area means the team can service tractors regardless of the weather, leading to the ultimate goal: reduced maintenance downtime. Protecting the team and machinery during servicing gets the tractors out of the workshop faster and back out on site. This branded shelter serves as both a practical maintenance workshop and a striking visual asset for the company.
