Fast, Relocateable Workshop Space for L Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage Ltd

The Company:

Established in 1980 and headquartered in London, L. Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage Ltd, is a leading UK plant hire and haulage company. The company provides equipment and logistics solutions across the highways, energy, utilities, defence, aviation and rail sectors. With a strong focus on safety, innovation and sustainability, they offer a range of plant hire, operated plant services and digital solutions to support efficient project delivery.

The Challenge: 

The construction industry is one of the fastest moving and varying industries in the world – and especially on a small island like the UK. L. Lynch are on a mission to get machines to their clients faster and further and have increased the number of sites in the North, as part of their expansion plans. 

L. Lynch plant hire needed a fast, easy to install, cost-effective and robust container shelter solution to conduct pre-delivery inspections and service their equipment. They also wanted the flexibility to be able to relocate the container shelter at a moment’s notice, to support growth and the fast changing requirements of the industries they serve. Their goal was to create a covered area to work in to keep their teams safe and dry, while also providing valuable sheltered space to store and service machinery. 

The Zappshelter Solution:

L. Lynch selected a 12m span x 12.2m (40ft) length Zappshelter container shelter, choosing to  fully enclose it and add a 4m x 4m roller shutter door, ensuring easy access. This Zappshelter provided the necessary groundspace and height to service and maintain multiple machines and vehicles. Being fully enclosed, ensures the machines and team are kept safe and dry at all times.
