Don’t let exposure damage your profits. Speak to a Zappshelter Sheltologist® to discuss your storage container canopy requirements. These shelters are suitable for a huge range of applications, including storage, workshops and more.

Zappshelter Storage Container Canopies Explained

Zappshelter canopies are designed, tested and manufactured in Britain. Every system is engineered to survive high wind speeds, UV exposure and snow loads. These canopies are fixed securely to standard shipping containers (20ft or 40ft) and provide a fully covered space beneath — ideal for dry storage, workshops or vehicle bays.

Because they are classed as temporary structures, container canopies often don’t require planning permission. Our expert Sheltologists® can install your shelter on-site, or support your team to install it themselves. And because Zappshelters are fully relocatable, they’re just as flexible as your business needs to be.

Storage Container Canopy

Storage container canopies are a smart, flexible and reliable way to protect your equipment, materials or vehicles. They install quickly, last for years and can move when you do.

Here are some of the key benefits of using a storage container canopy from Zappshelter:

Protection from the elements: Zappshelter container canopies are built to protect against rain, snow, wind and UV. They create instant covered space for everything from machinery and vehicles to goods-in zones and temporary workshops.

Durability: Every storage container canopy is made using Ferroten steel and Taurinox fabric — two premium materials chosen for their strength and longevity. The structure is designed to survive the worst of British weather, year after year.

Ease of installation: Zappshelter canopies can be installed in just a few days. There’s no need for foundations or heavy groundworks. We provide a full installation service or give your team everything they need to build it with confidence.

Relocatability: If your site moves, your shelter moves too. Our container canopies can be disassembled and packed into a stillage for storage or transport. Ideal for hire fleets or shifting project locations.

Cost-effectiveness: Storage container canopies are a fraction of the cost of a permanent building. They offer long-term protection without the time delays or paperwork. They’re ideal for businesses looking to maximise return without major capital expenditure.

Storage Container Canopy FAQs

Absolutely. Storage container canopies are used for everything from equipment storage to workshops, loading areas and vehicle bays. The structure is modular, so it can grow with your needs over time.

Zappshelter canopies are engineered to perform in all UK weather conditions. The fabric membrane is resistant to UV breakdown, and the steelwork is designed to withstand high wind speeds and heavy snow loads.

Zappshelter canopies are typically mounted to shipping containers or interlocking precast concrete blocks. The weight and design of these substructures provide a secure anchor. Speak to a Sheltologist® for advice on your specific site.

This depends on the location of your project. Our shelters have UK type approval for all wind and snow loadings. We’ll provide specific figures based on your site’s requirements.

Yes. Zappshelters are designed to be fully relocatable. They can be disassembled and packed into a stillage for transport or storage, then reassembled at your new location.

Most shelters can be installed in one to three days depending on size and site access. Smaller units go up faster. Larger shelters with more bays take a little longer.

We recommend a flat, level surface that can support containers or concrete blocks. A slight slope is usually fine, although runoff direction should be considered. Our team can advise on preparation and packing options.

The Zappshelter system is simple to install. It requires no specialist tools. We supply a clear instruction manual, and our Sheltologists are available for support. If you prefer, we offer full installation and project management services.

Zappshelter canopies are designed specifically for the UK’s extreme weather. We offer a 10-year warranty on parts and labour. Many competitors don’t. Our fabric membranes are UV-stable, long-lasting and built to perform in harsh conditions. No gimmicks. Just serious engineering.

Maintenance is minimal. We recommend checking and tightening tensioning straps 30 days after installation, and then every six months. You’ll receive a care schedule with your shelter.

The shelter frame and cover pack into a steel stillage, which can be moved with a forklift or telehandler. Stillages can be stacked or stored anywhere safe and dry.

Zappshelters ship in stillages. These can be loaded onto a truck or van, and moved easily with the right equipment. Containers or precast blocks ship separately. For courier transport, each stillage counts as two pallet spaces.

Disassembly follows the same steps as the installation, in reverse. We’ll provide you with a step-by-step guide. Just contact help@zapp.group or speak to a Sheltologist® to get your copy.

Yes. Our shelters are modular by design. You can add new bays using a specially designed joining section. This gives you the flexibility to scale up as your site or storage needs grow.
