How much wind can a Zappshelter withstand?

Zappshelters are structurally engineered and type-approved for the UK. We treat it as a proprietary design and they’re designed to withstand a 1 in 10 year wind event.

Every year there are between 5 and 15 named storms across the UK, including red weather warnings and winds in excess of 100 miles per hour. With around 1000 Zappshelters scattered across the UK – literally from the Isle of Wight to Stornoway – we’ve never had a structural failure.
